Deadmau5 has released the all new music video for his single “The Veldt“. The song name and video was inspired by a Ray Bradbury story.

Interesting work and story behind this tune. It all began on Deadmau5‘s live-stream. He was working on this and had decided to give fans to a brief preview. While doing so, he mentioned that he would need vocals. This is where Chris James became involved. Soon he had finished production of his own vocal version, of which he sent to Deadmau5 via Twitter. The title of the track was taken from Ray Bradbury’s short sci-fi story “The World Children Made (aka The Veldt)”, which the lyrics touch upon.

The new visual story follows two children once they enter a virtual reality “nursery”. The nursery connects with the characters telepathically, to reproduce any location they imagine. In the children’s case, it turns out to be an African jungle. The style of the video is similar an indie puzzle game named “limbo” . The characters and dark style of the video are basically the same. Chris James adds some excellent background vocals and the song has an “strobe” like flow to it.  The video was launched along with deadmau5′s new, ‘Veldt EP’.
