Recently hitting airwaves on Pete Tong’s ‘Essential Selection’ on BBC Radio 1, Deadmau5 has finally come through with the long-awaited, high-quality preview for ‘Professional Griefers’.

First premiered last March, the track features a collaboration with vocalist Gerard Way from the multi-platinum American alternative rock band, My Chemical Romance. The collaboration from these two artists was initially unexpected, given deadmau5′s previous public statements voicing his beliefs against musical collaborations. While deadmau5 may rarely enjoy the idea of collaborations, it is apparent his stance may be changing, as thisis actually the second co-release of late.

Deadmau5′s instrumentals are always spot on. Gerard Way’s vocal amp up the energy and drive it into all sorts of directions; a bit punk, rock, club, pop, and dance. This may not be everyone’s kind of music, but it expands Deadmau5′s audience and certainly provides a breath of fresh air to his music. The official music video is currently in production, and the full-length version of this tune is currently set to be released September 2nd, 2012.
