My name is Sam, but you can call me Mash Ketchum. I’m a mashup/bootlegger from Pallet Town. I’m also an EDMashup aficionado (which is just a nice way of saying I spend too much of my free time making and listening to mashups). My goal here is not to regurgitate Kap Slap or 3lau; instead, they’re are a TON of virtually unknown mashers who are straight up sick.
“But, but, I want 3lau and Kap Slap! They’re so talented.” Totally agree with you bro. Don’t worry, there will be good shit from them too, it just may not be new. So calm down. Each week I’ll probably be posting four or five new EDMashups in addition to a few classics which are MASHT from the PAST. So yeah, first week on the job. Let’s do this.
…
First we have The Solo Cup Calamity by Mash Ketchum because I’m an egomaniac. Kidding, sort of. What I love about this mash is the instrumental. The transitions between Wolfgang Gartner’s Flexx, Uppermost’s Grand Theft Amish, and Hardwell’s Spaceman are barely discernible. Not to mention that Grand Theft Amish and Spaceman contain two of the most epic drops of 2012.
Next we have Lose My Mind in Darkness (Preview) by Jeff Rowe. What, your posting a preview? Yes, yes I am. It’s that good. If a bunch of prog house producers and incredible singers had an orgy, this is the song that would be played. The vocals fit seamlessly and the transitions are undetectable. Can’t wait for the full version.
Here is a 7 song banger from Adacio titled Colliding Galaxies. Need friends? Go to parties and play this. It will make you popular. Technically, the drop is at 1:15, but honestly if you’re listening you shouldn’t care. Every moment of the song is fantastic. If I could just repeat myself real quick: GIRLS WHO NORMALLY ONLY LIKE POP MUSIC WILL DANCE TO THIS. That’s basically impossible to get done, and Adacio nails it.
And now for our MASHT from the PAST. It’s one of 3lau’s first mashups ever, Rave Dirty. It’s A+B, which in this case stands for Amazing + Badass. A+B is often so hard to get right, especially when your pitching a song. But 3lau is 3lau, and this is amazing.
