Get Trap’d: Playlist [Week #1]

We’ve been preaching the power of trap for some time now, marveling at it’s dirty, rhythmic, floor stomping, gangster, mood enhancing qualities. So after a little consideration it’s only natural that we share them with you, especially those of you that are not yet on the ‘bandwagon’. This feature’s main focus is not on individual musicians, but rather the emerging genre as a whole, and the reason its taking the states by storm. Here you go, it’s time to get familiar, and you can start on the path by checking out some of these guys (a few of which we’ve previously featured on the site).

As you have may have noticed, there is an ever expanding number of styles and influences drawn upon by each individual producer, which is an amazing thing since the genre is yet to hit any roadblocks as to what you can and cannot do with the sound. So far, everything seems to work, giving the musicians all of the creative leeway they could ever want. The lively nature of this genre gives it a home at any forward-thinking, youth led, assembly.

Now that you’ve gotten a bit of a taste for the thing you can brave the internet in search of more, or stay tuned and rest assured that we’ll be bringing you all the good stuff when it drops. Hope you enjoyed, do let us know what you think.
