In the past four years, Indigo, a Manchester-based producer, has caught the attention of a variety of some of the most established producers in the scene, including the likes of Modeselektor, dBridge, DJ Pete and music journalist/dj Mary Anne Hobbs from BBC’s Radio 1 to name a few. He has gone on to turn out a chain of genre defying releases through his own label Mindset, since back in 2008, and through Exit Records.
His sound can only be described as wholesome and present; largely hosting very punchy basslines, an air of ambience, and first-rate percussion, dredged with melodic, spacey, or eerie synths. With every release he is pushing the envelope and displaying a musical competence that further solidifies his foothold in the industry. Solid composition always lies at the core of his sound, and because he is always experimenting in uncharted territory, his music is constantly refreshing.
It has been a while since we last shared an Indigo track with you, thankfully this is here to make up for lost presence. Have a track thats nearing five minutes and is comprised of the latest sneak peak of what he shall be shortly releasing. The tracks in question are
“Ayahuasca” and “The Root” forthcoming on Exit Records UK, and will mark his first solo release on the label. Turn it up and enjoy.
