It’s real easy to spot trends on Soundcloud. Follow enough people and watch as favorites, follows, and comments hint of an upcoming banger. In the past two weeks, the remixes of Jessie Ware’s Wildest Moments have gathered increasing momentum, propelled by play after play after play.
As of yesterday, London-based house producer T. Williams offered his take on the upcoming single. With four releases on Local Action, Williams’ productions have been charted by deep house fixtures Soul Clap and Jacques Greene hinting at the direction this remix will take.
Like all of the remixes, T. Williams uses Jessie Ware’s breezy vocals to its best fit; serving the verse first as an appetizer until the bassline kicks in. The track then becomes unbelievably catchy. Chopped up vocals that compliment the synth-work reminiscent of 90′s Jackin’ house make the meat and hook of the track. All the while, a Todd Edwards-esque shuffle skitters throughout the full 5-minutes making for an unforgettable summer jam. Some tried and true formulas were used in this track but when it’s executed this well, we can forget about pushing the boundaries of genre because to be honest, we’re still too busy dancing to notice.
A release date has not yet been confirmed but expect to hear this everywhere from sun-glazed pool parties to sweaty warehouses, and while we’re expecting as much, let’s hope for more upcoming remixes as every remix thus far has been quality.
