18-year-old producer Madeon shows off his incredible mixing skills by putting together a five-minute mix of 95 songs. Using bits and pieces of samples as instruments, Madeon created this unique electronic mini-mix for Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show.
Most of those featured tracks are sampled in really small ways, at times under a second, and some reused several times. The purpose was not to reference the songs clearly, but to instead use the samples to create one combined sound. The style is similar to some of his previous work, but differs enough to be distinguished as electro-house. Madeon’s youthful talent exceeds all expectations for the mix.
