Mak & Pasteman – Give It Up

Mak & Pasteman have been doing big things this year. The up and coming bottom-heavy house duo have been kicking some serious booty shaking bangers, and this new EP is no exception. “Give It Up” is set to drop this Tuesday on Anabatic Records, run by west coast producer and original Dirtybird crew member Worthy. The EP’s funky, bass-driven grooves will fit nicely with the label’s 2012 catalog.

Hailing from Leeds, UK, the two normally specialize in hand crafted beats and thumping bass hits, but the chopped Todd Terry sample screaming “Give Yourself to Me” makes for a particularly infectious dancefloor destroyer. The genre for this track is labeled “Future Old Skool” on Anabatic’s Soundcloud page, which is a pretty fitting description for the duo’s forward-thinking take on an old classic.
