Just as summer holidays draw to a close, upcoming Brooklyn-based producer Baauer bestows upon us yet another unique, bass-driven track that encourages the listener to settle down (pun intended) and reminisce about summer’s past. Baauer’s new-wave bass sounds work seamlessly in combination with the recently revived No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani’s vocals to create a feel good ambiance. With bouncy basslines sure to induce head-nodding and cheery, bubbly synths accompanied with tasteful samples of cheering this is the perfect feel good tune to wrap up your summer.
This release by Baauer is just a footnote in the amazing year he’s had so far. After buzzing around the underground music scene for quite some time, Diplo took notice of him and unleashed his first major releases, Harlem Shake and Yaow, earlier this summer on his Mad Decent label. As long as Baauer continues with his genre-mashing bass-driven beats, the young producer definitely has a bright career ahead on him.
