Unveiled today- “Fineshrine“, the second new single from Purity Ring‘s highly anticipated debut album, Shrines. Every release so far has been a complete gem. “Fineshrine” continues this trend, focusing more on Megan James’ dark sung vocals and grotesque lyrical imagery, in a still, absolutely memorizing fashion. Corin Roddick’s beats layer on a foundation that can only be followed up by Megan’s hazy illustrations of mysterious worlds.
With their dark, electric style exceeding all expectations previously held for the genre, Purity Ring’s new album Shrines is shaping up as one of indie pop scene’s most awaited releases this year. Look for Shrines out July 24 on 4AD records.
