Requake & BadKlaat [BadGuys EP]

Having been featured on just about every dub friendly radio station worth listening to, BadKlaat & Requake are well established figures in the community. Both consistently pushing the scene envelope; driving innovation and turning heads every step of the way. Unfortunately, it s not all too often we have the pleasure of getting our hands on freebies from these guys. Luckily, this isn’t one of those occasions.

Just a few days ago, these dubstep demigods dropped their collaborative EP, “Bad Guys“. With six intense tracks, tunneling deep into the the origins of the sound, the trio showcase some of their finest work. They remind us how they established their commanding scene presence; their rise to the top, through shear musical brilliance.

The EP is host to an array of styles. The sounds vary in weight throughout, although all have the gravity any dubstep enthusiast should be looking for. Everything from club stomping beats, all the way down to vibes that hold a middle eastern mystique.

Altogether a terrific album with head bumping basslines and terrific soundscapes; a truly brilliant piece. Enjoy a two track sample of their work below. If you like what you hear, remember this one has been released free.
