As yearly festivals come to a close and new ones spawn, there comes times when I come across artist(s) which i wish I could have seen at that event or in a future outing. Rumle has been a heavy hitter on Soundcloud for over two years now and boasts an amazing 2000+ follower tab under his belt and still is going strong. After multiple listens to his “Black Farm In Sweden” and his many other wondrous creations, I still get images of him rocking with a full band with him at the helm with either a laptop/ controller setup with keyboards a’la Trentemoller.
I came across this track when Soundlcoud was still in it’s early stages and will proudly say that this track still does sonic damage and remain tastefully relevant amongst the fellow competition.
“Black Farm In Sweden” combines heavy drum fills/percussion on a 4/4 beat, a deep (I mean deep) synth-line, house piano fills, wicked vocal stabs, and sexy female Russian spoken-word. The production is ace and the arrangement is nothing short of catchy – keeping the listener tuned in to every dynamic change within the structure.
With the right backing, Rumle could be the next electronica-hipster big act.
