Swedish House Mafia – Don’t You Worry Child

Last month Swedish House Mafia announced that they would disband after their Farewell Tour. Shortly thereafter, the trio premiered their new track and final track “Don’t you worry child,” at their show at the Milton Keynes Bowl in London. Now BBC Radio 1 resident DJ Pete Tong debuted the high-quality, studio mixed version, on his radio show as this week’s essential new tune.

It’s no doubt, the duo will be greatly missed by many. If it wasn’t for such artists, house music would not be where it is today. They played a large role in its rise to popularity, serving among the most influential of figures to an entire scene, and inspiring the next generation of artists like Avicii.

Many are quite sad about the split, but this is merely the next chapter. Their individual careers still lie ahead, ripe with potential. They were likely at their peak, making it among the most appropriate times to go. Their work will not be forgotten. The first track the trio produced, “One” started a fantastic journey that now ends here.
