The Weekend Special

With this feature, we are proudly introducing our first installment of The Weekend Special. This will be an all-encompassing publication, meant to showcase both upcoming and past releases that we feel, undeservedly flew largely under the radar. To preface this item, a warning must be made: those looking for anything remotely calming or mellow should likely look elsewhere. This feature will be focusing purely on dirty, raw, malicious vibes. On the other hand, if this does sound of interest, such a feature should certainly satisfy those of you looking to hear some proper underground bass music. Indeed a whole lot, if not most, of these featured pieces are previews- but the idea is, thanks to our player, there should be a seamless stream of proper rhythms for your enjoyment.

First up we have Toki, a Long Island resident that has been releasing grips of solid tunes for about half a year now. With deft percussion and dark tone, he goes heavy on the sound; making tracks that will move any gritty dub venue. Surely someone to look our for.

Second up is Intel, producing out of Lincolnshire, Britain. Only having been active under this new alias for about a month, he has yet to disappoint. These two below are his only current releases, and we sure love the sound of ‘em. The second track available for download straight from his Facebook page, grab yours. Definitely looking forward to hearing his forthcoming releases.

Now on to Calibration- someone who we havebeen following for quite some time. He has been making some incredibly disturbing music for about a year now, occasionally helping us find new vibes, hoping for his EP release, and maybe a few freebies. As for now, his many previews will suffice. If you like what you hear, make sure drop by his SoundCloud and just hit play on the first tune, go on and mind your business while his vibes play through, quite an impressive collection and worth a listen.

Thanks to Calibration and Intel, we also managed to stumble upon Blankface- a dubstep producer straight out of LA. Currently unsure as to much of anything else about Blankface. Stay tuned though, and we shall eventually fill you in. As for now, we shall cheesily let the music do the talking.

Then onto KUNNO, hailing from Helsinki, Finland. He has been producing some really wicked tunes with interesting synth designs, sounds, and hefty amounts of bass. With quite the unique style to his sound, we really like what we’re hearing.

Last but not least, we have EVO. This guy lives in Orange County, CA and as far as we can tell, has been at this for less than half a year. Nice combination of the increasingly popular dubstep/trap sound. Solid tracks and great sampling. Now that he has been silent for around a month now, we can only hope he is mad away in the studio, cooking up some fresh new beats.
